Physics, Food and Franglais, or,
What We Did on Our Spring Break

Jane Park, Kali Wilson, Kate McClain, and Chelsea Tiffany stopped at a sugar shack on their trip home from the APS March Meeting in Montreal, Quebec.During the 2003-04 academic year, a posse of SPS Reporters attended professional physics society conferences across the United States including national meetings held by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), the American Physical Society (APS), the American Geophysical Union (AGU), and the American Astronomical Society (AAS).

These SPS representatives, some of whom are pictured above, provided reports from various meetings with a focus on SPS activities and SPS member research sessions. They also conducted in-depth interviews with the presidents of several societies. Our feature article consists of the write-up provided by the SPS reporters who attended the APS March Meeting in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
